A strong family for every child…this is Olive Crest’s vision. In addition to their Foster to Adopt and mentorship programs, Olive Crest offers help for families in crisis by connecting them with temporary host families to provide a safe alternative to child welfare custody. Parents experiencing a temporary crisis can arrange for their children (newborn to 18 years old) to stay with a volunteer Strong Family while the parents address the issues that led to instability in their lives such as hospitalization or drug rehabilitation. Strong Families are supervised and supported by their local church and provided with childcare specialists and caseworkers from Olive Crest to assist as needed. The goal is to reunite children with their biological parents. Opportunities include hosting children on a temporary basis. Contact Pamela Garey.
