Day Three! Everyone has gotten into a good rhythm up here at the church. We are all responsible for sharing the duties of laundry, helping prepare meals, and keeping the building clean. Everyone is so willing to help which is very encouraging to me personally, even when it involves waking up early to help make breakfast every other day by 6 am! At the site, we were able to finish the the siding and start on the roofing. A small crew finished up the fence as well. We left a little early, in order to be ready to go to Paradise’s “Music in the Park” program. We walked around and talked to quite a few people, offering to pray for them, asking about their experiences with the fire, and inviting them to the community dinner held at the church every Thursday night. We will be looking forward to seeing if anyone we invited came! Our main goal as volunteers is to connect the people in Paradise to the church. Even though teams that work here are only able to connect with them for a week, we hope they can build relationships with people in the church and see God working.
