We are a team dedicated to promote the well-being, growth, effectiveness and sustainability of Trinity's global workers. Our team provides a safe place for global workers to share everything from joys to struggles first-hand through grace-oriented relationships. We encourage and assist them to the extent of our spiritual gifts, our professional and our personal expertise provide by caring for them well, confidentially meeting physical, spiritual, emotional needs thus enhancing the efforts of the sending agencies. We also provide opportunity for Trinity’s congregation to support, pray and help each of our global workers in practical ways.
To become involved with this special team, everyone is invited to join the Global Workers Prayer on Sunday mornings.
What does global worker care look like?
- Agency coordination - We want to develop an open working relationship with each global workers agency to learn how they provide global workers care so we can “fill any gaps” that might exist.
- Small Groups adoption and care - In an attempt to have the individual global workers become well known to a larger number of our congregation we have sponsored an “adopt a missionary” campaign through our Home groups.
- Emergency Care - Trinity’s mission budget has provision for “boots on the ground” where we can be present with our global workers in concrete ways to help when life hits them hard.
- Resource list - We have a list of professionals who would provide volunteer crisis help through email, skype or video conferencing so that help can be accessed during the times of need.
In 2021 Trinity Church raised funds to update a home that has been set-aside to serve the global workers of Trinity Church when they are on home assignment.
