The New Testament Letters for Young and Seasoned Believers

For every follower of Jesus, it is important to be a lifetime learner of God’s Word, the Bible. This is essential to rightly understand God and live out our Christian faith.

In a discussion-based style, this class will walk through letters of the New Testament, beginning with the letters written to James and Galatians. The intention is also to teach and study how to handle the Word of God accurately and discern the intended meaning of the texts. It is designed for people of all ages of faith in Jesus. Currently studying Romans.

This class will include time for fellowship, prayer, and the occasional breaking of bread, a description of the early church in Acts 2:42. This class is designed for people to attend as their weekly schedule allows.

Leading the class is John Shoup who is the Executive Director of the Leadership Institute at California Baptist University in Riverside. John has served as a university dean, middle and high school principal, and social worker in various service settings. John has a Ph.D. in Education and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. John & Margarita have been married for 29 years and they have one daughter.
