Celebrating our Risen Christ!
When Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day, His purpose was to do something that had never before been attempted in human history.
He decided to pay for all the sins of humanity…all at once and once for all our sins would be paid for in full! He determined that his death would provide the perfect substitution for our debt before God. And because of His sacrifice and consequent resurrection, nothing more would be required of us for our sins to be satisfied in God’s sight. Imagine that! Nothing else would need to done in order for us to be fully and freely forgiven of our sins. We would be freed from our past chains of guilt, shame, and sorrow over wrong things we had said or done or thought. Because of what Jesus did at Calvary, God could stamp our accounts before him as “Paid in Full”. All he asks is that we accept that payment on our behalf. That should both stun us, and also stimulate us to love God back. This Easter morning everyone is invited to do just that.
