Spain Mission Trip 2019
Goodbyes are Hard
Today we finished up many things. It was the last day of VBS and we taught the kids about Jesus’ death, crucifixion, and resurrection, focusing on the forgiveness Jesus has given us. The puppet stage was finished for the last show. The kids had a great time and we were all sad to see them go. We developed relationships with them and many were just as disappointed as we were to be done. During the last part of VBS, I was able to finish up the safari puppet stage background, to go with the animal puppets we gifted the Bennetts. They will be able to use it in their English club and in other activities they do with kids.
During the VBS, Thad, Paul, and I did our prayer walking. We prayed for the city, Agua Viva, and the people in the city. It was a nice, refreshing time to just focus on God and the city. Sadly, Cammie missed out on the last day and prayer walking today because she was not feeling well but she got a good amount of rest and is feeling better now.
After VBS, Paul, Johnathon, and Bekah headed to back to the church plant and finished the kitchenette while we moved to a new location. We are staying in a church that JD is partnering with. Then we enjoyed a nice dinner, time of worship, and fellowship at the Bennetts home. Tomorrow we head on a tour in Morocco and will be also doing JD’s port ministry.
Please pray for our health and safety, we have been suffering from a lot of tiredness from the late nights. Also pray for our trip tomorrow, that we are safe and aware of where we are. Pray for the children we met in VBS and that the seeds we planted will grow. Thank you for all your prayers and support on this trip. We appreciate all of you greatly.
