Portugal 2019 Mission Trip
Last day of VBS
VBS has come to a close! We sang this morning and reviewed all our previous Bible points and verses before learning today’s- When life is good...Deus é bom! The Bible story today was about the Israelites crossing the Jordan River in to the promised land and making a memorial to remember what God did for them. The kids all got stones to make memorials of their own and wrote things they were thankful for on them.
As usual, park time was followed by stations which included cupcake decorating and designing t shirts that everyone could sign as a memorial from camp.
As our camp day ended all the parents arrived to pick up their kids after a short celebration of the week. We sang a few songs in Portuguese and in English, then the senior pastor at Vida Nova talked to them about camp and invited everyone back on Sunday. Everyone loved having camp this week. I had several parents stop me and personally thank me, in English, for what a good week it has been.
We cleaned up the church then headed to the Shoemakers for dinner, where we sent Jonathan and Traci on a date and the team stayed at the house to babysit and clean.
Tomorrow we spend the day in Lisbon! Please continue to pray for the health of the team.
