Spouse and/ or kids? My bride, Karen, since 1973, three grown ‘kids’ – Jonathan and his wife Traci (Katie, Carly, Jonah & Ellie), Sara and her husband Jeremy (Johanna, Allison & Josiah), and Scott and his fiancé Melissa (and his dog, Stella)
Favorite food? Karen’s lasagna, Old Town Tamale Factory tacos, Las Mananitas (Cuernavaca) Avocado salad, extra thick butterscotch shake at Frostie Shop.
Why Ministry? A ‘gradual’ calling that seems to match my motivational bent, spiritual calling as a college student, and my understanding of a “Long Obedience in the Same Direction” – thanks, E. Peterson.
Most amazing thing about God? His lovingkindness / loyal love – Zephaniah 3:17.
Name a recent book you read and enjoyed? The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges (a classic) and The Disappeared by C.J. Box (game warden fiction)!
Where did you go to school? Mission Bay High, High, San Diego State University, The International School of Theology.
Passions, hobbies, interests? Helping young couples grow in oneness, fun adventures with kids& grandkiddos (waterslides!), exploring new cultures with our families, good concerts (Rend Collective!), Windansea beach, trying a new recipe…and bowling once in awhile.
