FAQs

I filled out the required forms so why does my registration still say they are missing?

Often the completion of forms needs to be checked off manually by our staff so it may not show up immediately after you have completed them. Please be sure to fill all forms out completely and Student Ministries will reach out to you if you are missing anything. Please watch for emails regarding this and other important camp information.

Is there financial assistance available?

We understand how expensive camp is. The scholarship fund was greatly affected by not having an impact offering this year so there is a very limited amount of money for scholarships.

Here are some ways to help with the cost of camp:

  • There are two carwash fundraisers coming up, May 31 and June 20. Any money raised will be split between whoever is there helping
  • Payment plans – the full cost does not have to be paid all at once. Break up the cost into monthly payments. If more time is needed to continue making payments after camp, please reach out to discuss specific payment plans.
  • Feel free to reach out again in about a month to see where the scholarship fund is at to see if there is more scholarship money at that time.
  • If your student is willing to work to raise money for camp, reach out to Walker Riley. He may be able to connect you with someone from the church who wants to pay for yardwork or other odd jobs.
  • Help your students run their own fundraiser (lemonade stand, etc)

Please reach out to Walker if you have a specific financial situation that you need to discuss.

How do I make payments and when is $ due?

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration. The remaining balance is due July 7. To spread out the cost, partial payments can be made to your account.

You can make payments by logging into your registration or by calling the church office to pay by credit card over the phone. Cash and checks can be turned in at the front office. Reminder emails will be sent out occasionally which will have a link that you can use to pay online.

How are the students getting to and from camp?

Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up their students at Camp Pondo, however everyone will meet at Trinity and caravan up to camp.

Can my student bring their phone (or other electronic devices) to camp?

We're encouraging parents to have their students leave their cell phones and other devices at home while at camp.  Any phones brought to camp will not be allowed to be used so please keep them home so they don't get lost.  If any student needs to contact their parent, leaders will make their phones available for that purpose.  Thank you for your understanding!

What should my student(s) pack?

How do I get updates about camp once I’ve registered?

Check your emails often, especially in the weeks leading up to camp as it gets closer to when camp starts. Also check your spam folder if you haven’t heard anything. When registering, make sure your email address is correct. You can also contact student ministries with any questions at Student Ministries or call 909-335-7333.

What is your cancellation policy?

To receive a refund (minus the $100 deposit), you must cancel by July 7. If you cancel after this date, you will not receive a refund.

Does the camp accommodate dietary needs?

Please call Camp Pondo with any questions about any dietary needs at 909-867-7037.

What do I need to do if my student is bringing medication (including over-the counter medicine)?

Please contact Student Ministries for this situation.
