Trustworthy: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God, by Lysa Terkeust.
When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we’re much more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It’s then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. No human can carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us try.
In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, we will join Lysa TerKeurst in Israel (via video) as we honestly look at the places of distrust in our own hearts while exploring the deeply personal applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God.
Thursdays, 9:30-11:30 am, May 14-June 18. Led by Charlene Sanner. Study full.
Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm, May 14-June 18. Led by Mindy Sames. Study full.
Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World, by Max Lucado.
Do you feel weighed down with worry? Does the uncertainty and chaos of life keep you up at night? Are irrational fears your constant companion? While anxiety is a part of life, it doesn’t have to dominate your life. With God as your helper and His promises at your side, you can view all things through the lens of God’s sovereignity.
In this 5-week study we will join Max Lucado (via video) as we explore God’s treatment plan for anxiety found in Philippians 4:4-8 and learn how to follow his prescription to ultimately experience his peace by celebrating His goodness, asking for His help, leaving concerns with Him and meditating on good things.
Sundays, 7:00-8:30 pm, May 17-June 14. Led by Kristin Salladin. Study full.
