Janice Update 12.19.13

The appointment was a hard one as our two neurosurgeons showed us the image if the recurring tumor that was now filling much of Janice’s left temporal lobe. They were kind as well as truthful about both the options and the plan.

As of now, the only option is surgery and that will tentatively be Friday, December 20 at Desert Springs Regional Medical Center.  It is in Palm Springs and the physicians will have a strong Neurosurgical team of 30 to assist in the post operative care which is as crucial as the surgery itself because of the position of the tumor.

We will go Wednesday to the Clinic. Janice will be admitted from there. The pre op details will occur Thursday. A pastor friend of Heather’s has found a small condo for her to stay in for a few days over the days before and after surgery. So we are grateful she is coming Monday to share the load with us.

There are so many specific things we have concerns about, too long to list. But The Lord knows them and as you lift us up in prayer to the Father, we are sure His Spirit intercedes for us according to His will.

Your prayers are our life line and we sense so often our own wordless groanings. Thank you for your faithful stewardship on our behalf.

Love in our Lord Jesus

Our hearts our heavy as we read about the seriousness of this surgery for sweet Janice. We will continue to pray for wisdom for the entire surgical team, strength for you both and the extended family, special moments of joy and smiles for Morgan and Connor and the peace that The Lord has so graciously promised to faithful Christ followers. We love you and consider it an honor to lay our petitions before The Lord.

Praying for God’s perfect peace to surround the entire family. May you know His strong presence. May the surgeons and post-op staff have extraordinary skill, insight, and compassion as they care for Janice and interact with your family. I am praying especially for Morgan and Connor to know God’s love and care for them.

Have been praying for you each day this week and will pray tomorrow for God’s supernatural strength and peace, wisdom and skill to flow through the surgical team as they operate and through all the medical personnel as they care for Janice post op. We love you and we love knowing our Lord will be right there with you.
